Welcome to Paula Beckett Designs

I specialize in designing fine jewelry with an emphasis on the beauty found in nature. Most pieces in my collection are one of a kind. All my jewelry is designed to bring the wearer closer to nature and to bring out the beauty and femininity they feel within themselves.

Teaching is My Passion

I began my teaching career at Brookhaven College in Dallas, TX and Collin College in Plano TX.  Today I teach out of my Plano,TX based studio. I am happy to teach all skill levels.

I find the best way to learn to design jewelry is begining with metal clay. It offers tremendous flexibility, a wide range of creative options, and is fairly inexpensive. It is a great medium.

I also offer more advanced classes in Cloisonné enameling. I not only focus on technique but teaching my students on how to find their artistic voice. Many of my students have become long-time students by progressing through each level, mastering each. Some of my recent work is shown below.

I have earned Art Clay Worlds Senior Level teaching certifications for both Art Clay Silver and Mokume Gane techniques, as well as a PMC (Precious Metal Clay) Certification.

I also authored and published several articles in Metal Clay Artist Magazine and Metal Clay Today. I continue my education to become the best teacher I can be by taking workshops around the world with award winning metal clay artists.

I want all my students to enjoy my classes while learning the many creative possibilities using metal clay. Currently I teach classes in metal clay at Collin College in Dallas and in my private studio in Plano, TX.

I donate a portion of any sales to CASA of Collin County. To learn more about what they do in support of children, click on the CASA Logo.
